Empty skips returning to the quarry

The short train climbs up from the small harbour through Shear Gorge, passing the old mine entrance (now haunted), over the spring bridge, the stream glistening in the morning sun, and on up to the quarry. It’s a windy day in early April and the shrubs along the line have yet to bloom.
