An overview of the Wittering and Linton Railway.
Squadron Leader Hillard (rtd) former Manager of the RAF Valley Light Railway examines damage to Lady Caroline.
General view of Wittering station with goods shed and brewery in background.
Goods train passing Cottesmore station.
Cottesmore Brewery opened following construction of the nearby RAF base!
Lady Emily and Lady Caroline with their namesakes; respectively the daughter and wife of the manager. Both desperately in need of heavy general overhaul but engineering facilities sadly lacking in UAE. (The locomotives not the family members!)
That’s a great little line you’re building there. Ideal for when it rains, or is too hot outside perhaps?
Thanks Mike. I promise I’ll send you a full update soon. This Virtual Steam-up has kicked me back into action. It was only 40°C today but the sand would play havoc with the valve gear I expect. Not quite as much rain here as up on Anglesey!
Love the RAF base names! Nice set up.
Thanks Gary. Linton-on-Ouse is off-stage but at least it means I can use W&L transfers! Wish I hadn’t bought the ‘data only’ wagons now……
Great railway and theme but I won’t show the pics to my other half or he will accuse me of trying to take over his workshop again.
